 Common Cause Teams

At Faith Community Fellowship, we believe in community... fellowship is good, community is better, and service that flows from community is the ultimate!  We believe that the church should be a force of irresistible influence in our community.

Jesus imagined a connecting church, a bridge of influence.  The church needs to embrace its essential role as bridge builder.
This is where irresistible influence comes into play:  a bridge over the troubled waters between an isolated church and a cynical culture.  A bridge where credibility could be reestablished by God’s people in the minds of an increasingly skeptical and hostile world.  A bridge where people would be drawn to cross over, rather than repelled.  A bridge of proof, rather than hollow words.

Ultimately, irresistible influence is about enlarging the concept of ministry. Anything done in the name of Christ is ministry
   Anything.

We believe God wants us to be:
A church passionately committed to Jesus Christ and to his Great Commission
A church of biblically-consistent lifestyles and priorities
A church of radical love and selfless good deeds that astounds the world around us!

What is a Common Cause Team?
Common Cause is a small group structure that intentionally processes people toward a personal ministry of influence.

Habitat for Humanity Team
FCF was the sponsor for The Plaisted House in Ellsworth.  We began our involvement in this project in January 2009, broke ground in the spring, and the family moved in to their new house in June 2010.  Visit our Facebook page to see photos.

Helping Hands
Helping Hands provides support and encouragement through meeting felt needs, both within the church and in the community.
Yard work, household repairs, respite care, meals after a hospital stay, etc... If you have hospitality and helping gifts, you will thrive on this team!
